Nothing.
Terms of Service
Effective date: June 11, 2026
1. Introduction
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Nothing. app ("Nothing.", "we," "us," or "our"), including the website, app, wallet-connected features, leaderboard, burn history, and related services.
Nothing. is currently operated as a personal project under the name Nothing. and is not presented as a registered company unless stated otherwise. Nothing. is intentionally simple: users do nothing, may connect a Solana wallet, may record doing-nothing activity, and may burn the $NOTHING token where the feature is enabled.
2. Acceptance of the Terms
By accessing or using the Nothing. app, connecting a wallet, signing a message, submitting a transaction, setting a username, or using any related feature, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Nothing. app.
3. Eligibility
You may use the Nothing. app only if you are at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher, and you are legally able to agree to these Terms.
By using the Nothing. app, connecting a wallet, signing a message, submitting a transaction, or interacting with $NOTHING through the app, you represent that you meet these requirements.
Nothing. does not currently verify user age. If you do not meet these requirements, you must not use the app.
4. Description of the App
Nothing. currently provides:
- A website experience for doing nothing.
- A Solana wallet connection flow.
- Wallet-based sign-in using signed messages.
- Start and keep actions that are recorded through Solana memo transactions.
- A timer and status experience for wallets that have started doing nothing.
- Optional leaderboard usernames.
- Public leaderboards for Nothing. done and $NOTHING burned.
- Burn history for finalized $NOTHING burns.
- Token supply display based on the configured mint and finalized Solana supply data.
- Optional external links to third-party places to get or swap $NOTHING, if configured.
Nothing. may change, break, disappear, or remain exactly the same at any time.
5. Wallet Connection and Blockchain Transactions
Nothing. does not create a traditional account with an email address or password. To use wallet features, you connect a supported Solana wallet and may be asked to sign messages or transactions.
The app may ask you to sign:
- Login messages to prove wallet ownership.
- Solana memo transactions to start or keep doing nothing.
- Solana transactions that include a memo and a BurnChecked instruction to burn $NOTHING.
You are responsible for carefully reviewing every wallet prompt before signing. Wallet prompts may show transaction details, fees, program interactions, token amounts, and other information. Do not sign anything you do not understand or did not intend to approve.
6. Token Burns and Irreversibility
The burn feature, when enabled, creates a Solana transaction intended to permanently burn $NOTHING from your wallet's token account and reduce the token supply.
Token burns and blockchain transactions are irreversible. Once a transaction is signed, submitted, confirmed, or finalized, Nothing. cannot cancel, reverse, refund, recover, or undo it.
Nothing. may verify and record burn transactions after they are observed on Solana. A burn may initially appear as pending and may only count on public leaderboards after finalized verification.
7. No Custody and No Control Over Wallets
Nothing. does not custody your funds, tokens, private keys, seed phrases, or wallet credentials. Your wallet is provided by a third party, and you remain responsible for securing it.
Nothing. cannot recover lost wallets, reverse mistaken signatures, restore burned tokens, refund network fees, or control whether your wallet approves or rejects a transaction.
8. No Financial, Investment, Legal, or Tax Advice
Nothing. does not provide financial, investment, trading, legal, tax, accounting, or other professional advice.
Nothing. does not recommend buying, selling, holding, transferring, burning, or otherwise interacting with any token. Any action you take is your own responsibility.
9. Meme/Community Token Disclaimer
$NOTHING is presented as a meme/community token. It is not intended to represent equity, securities, ownership, debt, profit share, voting rights, dividends, revenue rights, or an investment contract.
Nothing. does not promise or guarantee token price, value, liquidity, exchange listings, rewards, profit, appreciation, future utility, continuing development, or continued availability.
10. User Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the security of your wallet and device.
- Reviewing all wallet prompts before signing.
- Confirming the active Solana network and token mint.
- Paying network fees and third-party charges.
- Understanding that blockchain transactions may be public and permanent.
- Using the Nothing. app only in compliance with applicable laws.
- Ensuring that any username or submitted information is lawful and appropriate.
11. Fees, Gas, Network Costs, and Third-Party Charges
Nothing. does not currently charge subscription fees or collect payment card information.
You are responsible for Solana network fees and any wallet, RPC, swap, exchange, or third-party charges. Network fees may apply even if an action does not produce the result you expected.
Third-party swap or buy links, if shown, are not operated by Nothing.
12. Public Blockchain Data
Solana wallet addresses, transaction signatures, memo text, token burn details, timestamps, token account activity, and related blockchain data may be publicly visible through Solana, block explorers, RPC providers, indexers, analytics services, and other third parties.
Public blockchain data may remain available forever. Nothing. cannot delete, hide, modify, or make private data that is already public on-chain.
13. Leaderboards, Aliases, and Public Activity
Nothing. may display public or semi-public activity, including:
- Wallet addresses.
- Optional usernames or aliases.
- Start and keep counts.
- Burn counts.
- Total $NOTHING burned.
- Burn history.
- Transaction signatures.
- Timestamps or finalized activity dates.
Usernames are optional. If you choose a username, it may be normalized to lowercase, associated with your wallet address, and shown publicly. The app currently allows usernames using lowercase letters, numbers, and underscores, from 3 to 20 characters, and blocks certain reserved terms. The app currently exposes setting a username once and does not expose a self-service username edit or deletion flow.
We may hide or remove wallets, usernames, leaderboard entries, or other displayed data from app surfaces where we believe it is necessary or appropriate, including for abuse, errors, legal reasons, testing, spam, security, or app integrity. This does not remove public blockchain data.
14. Prohibited Uses
You may not use the Nothing. app to:
- Violate any law, regulation, sanction, court order, or third-party right.
- Use the app from a jurisdiction where your use is unlawful or prohibited.
- Evade sanctions, export controls, or other legal restrictions.
- Interfere with, disrupt, attack, scrape abusively, or overload the app.
- Attempt unauthorized access to systems, databases, APIs, wallets, or accounts.
- Submit malicious, deceptive, infringing, abusive, impersonating, or unlawful usernames or information.
- Misrepresent your relationship with Nothing. or $NOTHING.
- Use the app to promote scams, fraud, market manipulation, money laundering, or other harmful conduct.
- Bypass rate limits, replay protections, transaction verification, or security controls.
15. Third-Party Services and Wallet Providers
Nothing. relies on third-party services, which may include:
- Solana wallets such as Phantom, Solflare, Backpack, and wallet-standard providers.
- Solana RPC providers.
- Solana Explorer.
- Supabase or database services.
- Hosting providers such as Vercel.
- Optional Upstash Redis or Vercel KV for rate limiting/state.
- Optional observability or log-ingest services.
- Optional third-party swap links such as Jupiter if configured.
- Social platforms linked from the site, including X, Telegram, Instagram, and TikTok.
Third-party services are governed by their own terms and policies. Nothing. is not responsible for third-party services, outages, fees, decisions, data handling, transaction failures, wallet behavior, or external links.
16. Availability, Bugs, Changes, and Discontinuation
Nothing. is experimental. It may contain bugs, incorrect data, delayed finality checks, unavailable leaderboards, failed RPC calls, UI errors, transaction verification issues, or other problems.
We may modify, suspend, restrict, discontinue, or remove any feature at any time, with or without notice. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, accurate display, finality timing, token data, leaderboard placement, burn history availability, or future functionality.
17. Intellectual Property
The Nothing. name, branding, interface, design, text, code, and other materials are owned by or licensed to Nothing., except for third-party marks, wallet logos, blockchain data, and open-source or third-party components.
You may use the app for personal, lawful purposes. These Terms do not grant you ownership of intellectual property associated with Nothing.
18. User Content or Submitted Information
User-generated content currently appears limited mainly to optional usernames or aliases and wallet-triggered public activity.
By submitting a username or other information to the Nothing. app, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, modify for formatting or moderation, and use that information to operate and promote the app.
You represent that you have the right to submit that information and that it does not violate law, third-party rights, or these Terms.
19. Privacy and Data Handling
Nothing. may process and store:
- Wallet addresses.
- Wallet login challenge metadata.
- Signed session and challenge cookies.
- Wallet IDs or adapter names.
- Transaction signatures.
- Memo text.
- Token burn details.
- Token account and mint information.
- Timestamps, slots, verification status, and leaderboard counts.
- Optional usernames.
- Rate-limit and nonce-replay records.
- Request IDs, timing logs, masked or hashed wallet identifiers, and technical logs.
Nothing. does not ask for private keys, seed phrases, payment cards, phone numbers, mailing addresses, or email addresses in the current codebase.
Session cookies currently last about seven days. Login and action challenge cookies are short-lived, currently about five minutes. Some browser-local state may be stored to support wallet flows, pending actions, UI cache, theme settings, mobile wallet redirects, and optional debug logs.
Please review the Privacy Policy for more detail. Nothing. cannot delete or alter public blockchain data.
20. Disclaimers
We built Nothing. to be simple, transparent, and fun. We aim to keep the app available, functional, and accurate, and we may work to improve wallet integrations, blockchain verification, leaderboards, burn records, and the overall user experience over time.
However, Nothing. is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, security, and error-free operation.
We do not guarantee that:
- The app will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or bug-free.
- Wallet connections or wallet integrations will always work as expected.
- Solana, RPC providers, Supabase, hosting providers, blockchain explorers, or other third-party services will always be available or accurate.
- Blockchain data, app data, burn history, timers, or leaderboards will always be complete, current, accurate, or permanent.
- Transactions will always confirm, finalize, display correctly, or be recorded by the app.
- Token burns or other blockchain transactions can be reversed, corrected, or recovered.
- $NOTHING will have any particular value, liquidity, utility, market availability, or future functionality.
You are responsible for reviewing all wallet prompts, transaction details, fees, token amounts, and destination addresses before signing or submitting any blockchain transaction.
21. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nothing. is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We are not responsible for losses caused by user-approved transactions, irreversible token burns, blockchain network issues, wallet provider issues, third-party service failures, changes in token value, app downtime, bugs, or user mistakes.
If we are found liable for any claim relating to the Nothing. app, our total liability will be limited to the greater of: (a) the amount you paid directly to us to use the app, if any; or (b) CAD $100, unless applicable law requires a different amount.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability. No part of these Terms limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be limited.
22. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Nothing. and its operators, contributors, affiliates, service providers, and agents from claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses arising from your use of the app, your wallet activity, your transactions, your usernames or submitted information, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights.
23. Termination or Restriction of Access
We may suspend, restrict, block, rate-limit, hide, remove, or discontinue access to any part of the Nothing. app at any time, including for suspected abuse, security risk, legal risk, prohibited use, system integrity, testing, or operational reasons.
You may stop using the Nothing. app at any time. Logging out clears the app session cookie, but it does not delete public blockchain data or necessarily delete server-side records already created.
24. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the Nothing. app after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
25. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Québec and the applicable laws of Canada, unless the mandatory laws of another jurisdiction apply.
No part of these Terms limits any consumer rights or protections that cannot legally be waived.
26. Contact Information
Questions about these Terms may be sent to contact@itsnothing.app.
